This is my fist trip of 2014. The wonder of Kilarney wildlife awaited. i was initially here on a fishing trip, but it was evident the full extent of the storms had wreaked havoc in this neck of the woods.
The river Laune has doubled its size and had inundated fields and fishing haunts at the fishery locations. The river is running very high with all the excess rainfall from the previous month. One of the shocking effects is to see old and majestic trees felled by the surging storms that battered Kerry. There are many felled trees all over the park leaving an eerie feeling to some of the pictures I took. Have a look below and wonder at the awesome power of nature.
